November 2007
We have the following wines available:
PHEASANTS RIDGE BACCHUS DRY 2006
English & Welsh Wine of the Year Competition: ‘Highly Commended’
We think of this as England’s answer to Sancerre because the wine does have very distinctive chalky Loire like characteristics, but with its own English hedgerow flavours too. Delicious on its own - and particularly good with goats cheese.
£9.50 per bottle or £54 per case of 6 bottles.
PHEASANTS RIDGE BRUT
English & Welsh Wine of the Year Competition: ‘Highly Commended’
Thames & Chilterns Wine Association Wine Challenge:
Gold Medal – Sparkling Wine Cup – Overall Best Wine in Show Trophy
This has all the hallmarks of a great English sparkler – fresh acidity with wonderfully pure , green apple fruit and terrific depth of flavour. It holds its fizz as well as any top Champagne. This wine is made from grapes harvested in 2004.
£15.00 per bottle or £85 per case of 6 bottles
