Our food style is best described as 'Modern British' - although with our French Head Chef in charge (Amaury de Oliveira) there is a decidedly French twist! Choice, value and quality are paramount. We work wherever possible with local ingredients and it is vital that our menus are in tune with the seasons. There are quite a few committed vegetable growers in the team so they do know what's what! The menus reveal all. We keep in touch with the northern hemisphere grape-growing season too as we own and run our own English vineyard. Producing English wine is such a time-consuming passion that we have passed on our previous wine-shipping activities to Bill & Caroline's wine merchant son Tom - thus still keeping the whole wine list 'in the family'! It has never been a more exciting time to buy wine and we are constantly bringing new finds to the list.
