Our food style is best described as 'Modern British', which really encompasses the best influences from around the world, but with a distinctly British twist. Pip (our manager) thinks our food has never been better than it is now. We aim to provide the very best in terms of quality, value and choice. We source as many local ingredients as possible and the menus are designed to reflect the seasons. Everything is freshly prepared, down to our own ice creams and sorbets. Our menus reveal all, except they cannot for example describe how delicious our new home made scones and strawberry jam are - trying is believing! We keep in touch with the northern hemisphere grape-growing season too as we own and run our own English vineyard. Producing English wine is such a time-consuming passion that we have passed on our previous wine-shipping activities to Bill & Caroline's wine merchant son Tom - thus still keeping the whole Wine List in the family. It has never been a more exciting time to buy wine and we are constantly bringing new finds to the List.
